Keeping your pet’s vaccinations up to date is essential to keeping him/her healthy.
Vaccinating your pet can prevent them from contracting common diseases such as parvovirus, hepatitis, parainfluenza, corona virus, distemper and leptospirosis in dogs, or flu and leukaemia in cats, which can be fatal if your pet comes in contact with them.
We also provide rabies vaccination if you need to take your pet abroad.
Leptospirosis is a bacterial infection that affects dog's. It can cause liver and kidney failure and ultimatley can be fatal. Vaccination greatly reduces your dog's chance of getting the disease.
For years we were vaccinating for 2 strains of leptospirosis, however 2 new strains have been discovered in dogs and so we have changed our vaccination strategies in accordance.
At your dog's annual booster will will now use the L4 vaccine, we will recommend a second injection of L4 2 weeks later this second injection will be completely free of charge and your dog will then be covered for the 4 strains of leptospirosis, any queries contact the clinic 022 22340.
